my dog is going to die

have a 9 year old pit bul terrior. We have owned him since he was 5 weeks old. We have lived in the middle of the city with him and in the rural areas. For the last 5 years we have lived on an old farm with 10 acres. We have never had a problem with our dogs they have never been in trouble always contained properly. Until andbout 1.5 years ago when I ran into a problem with a neighbors dog and the owner didnt do anything about it so i had to call animal control. Then the neighbors threatened us to withdraw our complaint or they would have our dogs taken, when I said to her you would have to have a reason she stated she did when i asked what she made up an incident right on the spot when I said that didnt happen she shrugged her shoulders and walked off. 1 year later she made a complaint stating our dog approched her viciously. We went to court and she changed her story about 5 times right there in court, everyone knew she was lying but the judge said it didnt matter si nce there was a ticket wrote. By the way no one found our dog off their chain and no one was home to put him back on it. Just recently my family and I went on a vacation two days into we got a phone call saying my dog attacked another dog walking down the road, so he had to be at large huh. Well again he magicaly put himself back on his chain. no officer or animal protection saw the dog at large and the lady we had taking care of him wasnt there. The news station came and reported a PIT BULL attack and showed animal control taking him off his chain. Now they have deemed him a dangorus dog and wont let us have him back unless we can get a $250,000.00 insurance polocie on him, which we cant and so they say our only other option is to sign him over to animal control and pay for them to put him down. The man that made the complaint is friends with the neighbors and doesnt even live around here. What the neighbors didnt know is that at 9 am when the attack supposidly happened ther e was 3 people on the property chasing the pigs that got lose. But of corse since the man was willing to sign an affidavid they dont care about that. Evidently if they are willing to sign a piece of paper they cant be lying. All we did was go on a family vacation when we get home our dog is gone and going to be destroyed and there is nothing we can do about it they wont even let us in to see him. Please help He has untill maybe the 10th of September.
